Phyllis Gillespie

Receptionist

Phyllis retired from The Kansas City Star after 44 years of dedicated service. During her time there, she worked in the circulation department, taking on a variety of tasks—most of which were related to accounting and billing. After retiring from the newspaper, she spent three years as a government contractor before fully retiring at age 65.

Phyllis has always been someone her supervisors could rely on for problem-solving and working directly with customers to resolve issues. She enjoys interacting with people and handling administrative tasks, making her an ideal receptionist. Her extensive experience also proves valuable in supporting other office tasks and organizational needs.

In her free time, Phyllis enjoys spending time with her husband of 51 years, going to lunch with friends, tending to her flowers, and enjoying time with her family.
